Canopy Collective
Canopy Collective approaches conservation through an inclusive, diverse and participatory lens that fosters collaboration and innovation between conservationists from different backgrounds
Canopy Collective is an initiative that seeks to bring conservationists from diverse backgrounds. It reimagines wildlife conservation as a goal that thrives on the shared vision of researchers, artists, local communities and grassroots leaders in the biodiverse landscapes of north-east India.
Why Now?
Conservationists from diverse disciplines seldom come together to ideate, collaborate and contribute to a shared vision despite having common goals.
Canopy Collective seeks to fill this gap and foster transdisciplinary work by providing a platform to innovate, facilitate dialogue and collaboration, build a network and support grassroots conservation in north-east India.
They nurture diversity and inclusivity across different disciplines. Strengthened by a self-driven network, the collective welcomes members to create, rest, rejoin with shared responsibility and openness.

Through independent and shared projects, Canopy Collective focuses on site-specific, community-rooted action in the region.
Seegreen Foundation supports Canopy Collective through operational and administrative guidance.
From research to games, art, storytelling and more, this work offers a unique glimpse into a world shaped by multiple perspectives and a common goal. More here.
